All-in-One Washer Dryers
One drum that washes and then dries, usually ventless. When it stops draining, quits mid-cycle, or runs three cycles and the clothes are still damp, the cause is almost always the drain pump, the lint path to the condenser, or a sensor - not the whole machine. Common Combo Problems
First the honest part: a combo, like any ventless dryer, takes longer than a vented dryer - that's by design, not a fault. Much longer, or clothes still damp after a full cycle, means one of two things. Either lint has packed the airflow path through the condenser, or the drain system isn't carrying the condensation out and the drum stays humid. Cleaning the drawer filter doesn't reach either. We open the duct, clean the condenser and heater path, check the fan and the drain, and test with a wet load - the only test that counts on a ventless unit.
On a combo the drain pump moves the wash water and the condensation from every dry cycle, lint included, so it is the part we replace most. If you've cleaned the filter and the pump still grinds or the code comes back, it's the pump or the check valve in the hose behind it. We've been called after another shop fitted a pump and the drum still held water - the right OEM pump motor and a cleared hose fixed it.
The door boot on a combo gets soaked, heated, and sealed shut again every day, so it grows mold and cracks sooner than on a plain washer. We replace boots on LG WM3455 and WM3555, Samsung WD-series and others, sanitize the drum, and check the drain hose - on one Brooklyn unit the real leak was the hose, not the gasket.
LE on an LG combo is the motor position sensor; a dead panel can be the board or just a power fault; no spin was a speed sensor on a 10-year-old WM3477 in Manhattan. We test before we quote a board, because on a combo a board can cost more than half the machine - and we'll tell you when a reset or a $66 sensor is all it needs.

Ventless means the lint has nowhere else to go: every bit of lint and dust from the dry cycle gets washed through the condenser and out through the drain pump along with the water. That's why the drain system is the first thing to wear out on a combo - and why we fit original pumps rated for that duty, not generic ones.
The lint you can't see: on a ventless combo lint slips past the filter into the condenser duct and heater path. The photo is what we pulled out of one Manhattan unit - no drawer filter reaches that.
