Common Miele Dryer Faults
On T1 heat-pump and condenser dryers the usual suspects are a tired condensation pump, a clogged drain line and oxidized pump contacts - lint and moisture reach places the filter never catches. We did exactly this job for a client on East 48th Street: new pump plus a deep clean of the condenser and drain path, and the dryer went back to drying.
The forums will tell you to clean the condenser and move on. We have seen enough Miele dryers to know F66 has more than one cause - a cleaning alone often does not clear it, and the real fault can sit deeper in the condenser system or a sensor. We test instead of guessing, so the code stays gone.
Drum noise on a Miele compact usually means a bearing - and the front one more often than people think. These bearings sit very tight and pulling the drum is not a YouTube job. We have done enough of them to get it out, swap the bearing and put it all back without collateral damage.
Cold air and cycles that never end usually point at the thermostats on these machines, sometimes the heating circuit. On a ventless Miele everything lives inside the case, so a proper teardown beats parts roulette. We check the simple causes first and quote before touching anything.
