Manhattan & Brooklyn Bosch Dryer Repair
DR on a Bosch dryer means the water it condensed out of your clothes is not draining - the pump under the drum cannot move it out and the sump is full. Clean the lint screen and the lower condenser filter first. If DR comes back mid-cycle, the drain pump, float switch or a sludged condensate path is the fault - and that is a teardown, not a wipe-down.

DR Code, Explained

Ventless Bosch dryers condense water out of your clothes and pump it up to a drain hose or tank. DR is the machine telling you that water is not leaving: the condensation pump is dead or clogged, the float switch is stuck, or the sump under the drum is packed with lint sludge. The drum can look bone dry while the dryer refuses to run - the water it is worried about is below, where you cannot see it.

The classic call: lint screen spotless, condenser filter rinsed, drain hose checked - and DR comes right back. Owners can reach the filters. The pump, check valve and float switch live deeper than any manual takes you, under the drum. When cleaning did not fix it, the drain system itself is the fault, and that is exactly the visit we come prepared for.

DR's twin symptom: the pump cannot lift the water out, so it finds its own way to your floor. Wet lint turns to sludge in the tubes and sump, and a quick hose rinse often buys a week before the puddle is back. The lasting fix is a deep cleanout of the whole condensate path - and a new condensation pump when testing shows the old one is done.

Reaching a Bosch condensation pump means taking apart half the machine, which is why this repair gets declined over the phone by a lot of companies. We have had customers tell us several shops passed before someone gave them our number. Our techs know the disassembly order on these machines by heart - and everything goes back together the same visit.
Ventless, Heat Pump & Stacked

The ventless condensation workhorses - WTG and WTA models in closets all over Brooklyn and Manhattan, and the platform where DR shows up most. Second filter, condensate drawer, pump under the drum: we know where the water hides.

Heat pump models handle the same condensate - on these a drain fault usually reads E03 instead of DR. They dry cooler and slower by design; what is not normal is a stalled cycle or water alerts, and that is evaporator, condenser and condensate-path care.

Axxis and the WTMC/WTE-era compacts - discontinued, but very fixable. Even a belt change means taking half the machine apart, which is why many techs pass on them. We know the disassembly order by heart.

Stacked over a Bosch washer in a laundry closet - the standard NYC setup. We unstack, service and restack in the same visit: two techs, floors protected, nothing left leaning in your hallway.

My dryer had an issue and didn't dry the clothes. We made an appointment for 9:00 and the doorbell rang at exactly 9am. He fixed my dryer right in front of me the same day. I didn't expect that. Thank you so much! Love this company.
