Common Miele Problems

The classic Miele complaint in NYC: the machine drains, starts filling, then quits with the Intake/Drain light flashing. It is rarely the pump - usually the valve or the intake path, and hard water is the culprit.

Every forum says F24 means the heater relay. We have seen enough Miele dishwashers to know the relay is only part of the story - a new relay often brings the code right back. We test the pressure switch and sensors before replacing anything.

On T1 heat-pump and condenser dryers the usual suspects are the condensation pump and a clogged drain path. Worth knowing: heat-pump dryers heat slower by design, so a long cycle alone is not a fault - wet clothes at the end is.

This message means the leak protection tripped and pumped the water out on purpose - the washer is protecting your floors and your downstairs neighbor. Sometimes it is a real leak, sometimes a sensor or hose.
Full Miele Lineup

G-series, built-in and panel-ready. Miele is one of the few dishwashers in the US that heats its own water, so heating faults look different here than on any other brand. Intake/drain errors, F-codes, poor wash results.

T1 heat-pump and condenser dryers, no vent needed - which is why half of Manhattan has one in a closet. We clean and repair the condenser system, pumps and sensors.

W1 and older W-series compacts, the 24-inch format NYC apartments run on. Door lock faults, drain problems, waterproof system trips, TwinDos issues.

H-series built-in ovens, steam ovens and ranges. Doors that will not close, heating and calibration drift, error codes.

Gas and induction KM models, black glass and stainless. Burners that will not light or keep going out, ignition and sensor faults.

DA-series built-in hoods. Burned-out switches, grease-damaged filters and parts that only come from Miele - we have been through it, down to measuring the hood because one manual covers two widths.

Built-in K and KF units with the twin-compressor layout. Careful extraction from cabinetry, defrost and cooling faults, ice maker issues.
