Common Dishwasher Problems

Bosch Dishwasher Issues We Fix Every Week

Dishwasher Won't Drain (E24 / E25)

Standing water or an E24/E25 code almost always traces to the drain pump or a loose pump cover, not the whole machine. We pull the pump, clear the sump and filter, and run a full cycle before we call it fixed.

E15 - Water in the Base Pan

E15 means water reached the base pan and tripped the safety float. A tilt and reset may get it running, but that water came from somewhere - often a leaking inlet valve. We find the leak, dry the pan, and fix the source.

E25 or Grinding Mid-Cycle

E25 points at the drain pump itself - a blocked impeller or the white pump cover that pops loose after a filter cleaning. A quick fix when caught early, so don't keep re-running cycles.

Drains on Cancel, Not in the Cycle

If your Bosch drains fine when you hit Cancel but leaves water after a normal cycle, the pump is healthy - the problem is on the control side or the check valve. That takes a real diagnosis, not part swapping.

Every Bosch Dishwasher We Repair

800 Series & Benchmark

Quieter, sensor-heavy machines. Leaks and electronics here need careful diagnosis, not part-swapping.

Ascenta & Older Models

Still worth fixing when it's a pump, valve, or latch - and we tell you straight when it isn't.

Panel-ready dishwasher integrated into custom cabinetry

Thermador & Panel-Ready

Thermador shares the Bosch platform, and integrated installs are daily work for us - custom cabinetry stays intact.

What NYC Customers Say

★★★★★

The broken cable that controls the door's opening was replaced, so now it opens gently instead of flopping all the way open. I love my Bosch dishwasher.

I felt well informed throughout the dishwasher repair process and the price was fair. Called and someone picked up, a technician was available the same day, and I got alerts when they were on the way.

Bosch FAQ

Bosch Repair Questions

Do you offer same-day Bosch service?

+
Most Bosch calls in Manhattan get a same-day or next-day visit when you call before 1 PM. We carry common parts and often fix it on the first visit, but if your Bosch needs a part we don't stock, we order it and come back fast.

My Bosch dishwasher shows E24 or E25 - can you fix it?

+
Yes. Both point to drainage, usually a clogged filter or hose, or the drain pump (or a loose pump cover). We clear the blockage or replace the pump, run a full cycle, and tell you the cost before any work.

What does E15 on my Bosch dishwasher mean?

+
Water has collected in the base pan and tripped the safety switch. Tilting the machine drains the pan and it may run again, but the leak that put water there - often the inlet valve - is still leaking. We find the source and fix it.

Can I fix standing water myself?

+
Worth a try: twist out the filter, check the drain hose for kinks, and make sure the white pump cover is snapped in place. If E24 comes back after that, it's check-valve or air-gap territory - that's a visit.

Do you work on built-in and panel-ready Bosch appliances?

+
Yes. We handle integrated dishwashers, built-in wall ovens, and counter-depth fridges in co-op and condo kitchens, including doorman buildings with a COI.

How much does Bosch repair cost?

+
The visit is $150 in Manhattan, and we give you the repair price in writing before we start. No surprise charges.

Are your technicians insured?

+
Yes, we're a fully insured local team, not an offshore call center. We can provide a COI for your building when management asks.

Which Bosch dishwashers do you service?

+
All Bosch dishwasher lines - 100, 300, 500, and 800 series, Benchmark, Ascenta, and panel-ready integrated models, plus Thermador, which shares the Bosch platform.

Bosch Error Codes

Bosch Dishwasher Codes, Decoded

Most Common

E15Water in the base, Aquastop tripped (often a leaking inlet valve)
E17Fills then drains; float switch or inlet valve
E24Not draining; clogged filter or hose
E25Drain pump blocked or pump cover loose
E09Heating element failed
E20Circulation motor or control board

Fill & Watertap

WatertapTap symbol, no water coming in - usually the inlet valve or a tripped Aquastop
E14Flow sensor fault - fills in bursts or stops mid-fill

Power & Controls

E01Control electronics fault - power-cycling won't clear it for long

Seeing one of these? Don't keep cycling power - call us with the code and we'll come ready with the right part when we can.
